Funding and applications
Preparing applications to sector support programmes. Fixed fee plus a percentage of the approved amount.
Equipment and digitalisation are more often funded than bought outright. That changes the whole conversation: you are not discussing an expense but a route to somebody else's money.
The principle is the same everywhere
Most wine-producing countries run some form of sector support: for replanting, for investment in production assets, for promotion in export markets. The names, the authorities and the deadlines differ; the logic of a winning application does not. It needs a technical justification, measurable baseline figures and a credible cost estimate.
The European Union operates the CAP Strategic Plan for 2023 to 2027, with interventions for investment in tangible and intangible assets and for production sustainability. Eligible spending includes water management, organic conversion, integrated techniques, precision agriculture and digitalisation. Applications go to the national paying agency, sessions open periodically and close on oversubscription.
Outside the EU the instruments differ but the requirements rhyme, and an estate working across borders usually faces several submission calendars at once.
How the work is structured
The audit comes first, because an application without technical justification almost always loses at evaluation. Then the instrument is matched to the project, the file is prepared, and the application is accompanied through to decision and through any checks.
